K&E Holiday Gift Guides - The Beauty Junkie

It's that (wonderful) time of year! Let's chat about all the things we'll buy for our best friends but would secretly like to keep for ourselves. #justbuytwo

Let's start with our pals who drop half of their pay checks on allll the beauty box subscriptions.

Gucci Bloom // I will admit it, at first I was only interested in this particular bottle of perfume because LOOK AT THAT COLOR. But after smelling it at my local beauty store and dousing myself in it more than what was necessary before leaving, I can say for certain that I would wear this every. single. day.

NYX Matte Lip Cream // Goes on creamy, dries matte, stays on for hours, costs $6. Seriously.

Kristin Ess Gift Set // I don't think there is a single woman in my life who I talk to on a regular basis that I haven't expressed my love for Kristin Ess to. Her products make my hair feel super healthy, smell amazing, and are easy on the eyes. Yes, pretty pink bottle, you can sit on my shower shelf.

Smith & Cult // $18 is more than I would normally spend on nail polish, but it's Christmas people. And this is no ordinary nail polish. The application is pretty flawless - goes on smooth and covers in one coat. Plus it's pretty.

Exfolikate // A two-minute facial? Yes, please. Leaves your skin feeling super soft and flake free.

Dry Brush // Brush your bod before you hop in the shower and all of your lovely lady lumps will be feeling silky smooth, for under $5!

Lip Pot // Not the first time this little number has shown up on a favorite things list, and for good reason. Leaves your lips feeling smooth and moisturized with a nice little tingle (the good kind 😉)

Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel // This is a new product to me, so I can't give it a personal review, but I like the idea of holiday traveling with a cleanser I can use on my face and body. Plus it's French, so fancy.

Charcoal Mask // There's something really satisfying about watching this mask pull the oil right out of your pores. It's gross but it's true.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is one of my favorite holidays for a few reasons – I’m obviously excited for the breakfast in bed, staying in my robe all day and catching a guilt-free mimosa buzz. But just as lovely is getting to send some love to the amazing moms in my life – shout out to my own wonderful madre!

Gifting for Mother’s Day is always tricky because every mom – mom figures included - deserves the world, but it’s totally possible to make the moms in your life feel loved without going over the top. Here’s a peek at the shopping list I’m sticking with to surprise and delight the ladies I hold near and dear to my heart.

P.S. Can someone make sure my husband reads this? Or my oldest, who is 5, I’m pretty sure she secretly does the shopping.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Necklace // Two of my favorite tips for gift giving are make it personal and make it sparkle. These dainty astrology necklaces are a no-brainer.

Pillow // Remember growing up and thinking your mom was a little nuts for buying so many throw pillows. Fast forward a few years and now we’re swooning over this pink puppy. Turns out mom does always know best.

Bralette // Know a mom who deserves to look good, but can’t bear to be uncomfortable (everyone raises their hand)? We’ve got you covered, literally. This little lady is lacy, supportive and all kinds of a pretty.

Hair Product // If mom wants to fancy-up her bathroom shelves and magically make every day a good hair day stock her up on Kristen Ess’s new line of hair products. Don’t feel bad about getting yourself some while you’re at it.

Body Scrub // Feeling French and fancy is just one of the reasons I love French Girl Organic skincare. Their Rose Sea Polish is perfect for anyone who needs a little love and luxury in their life. Oui Oui!

Trench // Spring showers bring… tricky wardrobe decisions and lots of layers. Keep mom dry and chic in this blush tone trench.

Slip // Nothing says “Mom, I get you,” like the ultimate transitional piece. She can slip on a block heel for drinks with the girls or layer with a cozy sweater for binging on Netflix.

Wine // Call me biased to choose rosé from the great Northwest, but when it comes down to it, pretty wines just taste better. Moms think so too.

Tote // Just in case mom doesn’t get what she wants this year, this tote can serve as a subtle reminder of what’s left on her list. Ok, fine, maybe what’s on my list… original design by yours truly.
